Hit or Miss?

This is not a real airport but the entrance to "Kidzania" in the brand new Pacific Place in down town Jakarta. It appears that this new found wonderland for kids sounds a lot like the "Second Life" on Internet but in brick-and-motar form, where the children can get in for a whole day of exploration of many real-life activities in the adults world, pretending to be engaged in real-life professions of surgeon, building constructor, firemen and many others. As they are kids, perhaps "Future Life" may sound more appropriate for it.

Air Asia's gimmicky entrance is creative enough, though a bypasser may readily mistake it as the airline's booking centre. Whether the hype will be worth the sponsorship value will of course depend on whether the whole concept will turn out to be a hit or a miss. I reserve my judgement for now.
