Diary of a Wimpy Kid

I guess not many people write diaries nowadays. Perhaps a diary serves no more real purpose than offering kids the opportunity to improve their general writing skills. Even for those with the fleeting passion to capture the essence of a particular day's worth, the petty details one has to go through and the time to consume always pose the off-putting challenges.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid, however, offers good inspirations on how a diary  can be made to fulfill more than self-serving sentimental and aesthetic needs. "Diary of a small potato" (in a corporate setting) could also make a meaningfully far-reaching theme.

Didn't Greg say "It's not a diary, it's a journal"?
