The transient nature of all things

The old man wrote impeccably on the street with nothing but water. The beautiful calligraphic characters are there for anyone who cares to freely admire. Yet, he felt completely at ease with people heartlessly trampling on them.

This selfless act is undoubtedly rooted in Buddhism, and is indeed one good way to remind us of the transient nature of all things in life: do something wholeheartedly to excel and let go of it completely.
